Support SUNY Canton on Giving Tuesday

The Canton College Foundation is joining the Giving Tuesday movement by celebrating donors and asking for new contributions to the Canton Fund.

Halford Hall

The college is adorning all of the places on campus with golden ribbons that were named for or sponsored by SUNY Canton patrons for Giving Tuesday. Pictured are Halford Hall, named in honor of 1949 Alumnus John L. Halford, Sr., and the statue of Former Men’s Hockey Coach Terry Martin outside of the Roos House Convocation, Athletic and Recreation Center.

“Thanks to past support, this year we’ve awarded more than $460,000 in scholarships to 291 students,” noted Anne M. Sibley, vice president for advancement. “Faculty, staff and students are receiving almost $50,000 for special projects and professional development. We want to thank everyone who makes this possible.”

Faculty and staff members who donate to the college will be personally thanked throughout the day.

“The Canton Fund has a positive impact across the campus,” Sibley said. “We are encouraging everyone to join us during this national celebration of generosity.”

The Canton College Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that supports the educational mission of SUNY Canton. Donations to the Canton Fund directly support scholarships, campus enhancement awards, faculty and staff grants and alumni activities.
