John Trimble, the President and CEO of C&S Companies in Syracuse, will be the next featured speaker in SUNY Canton’s Leadership Lecture Series.
Trimble will be presenting at 3:30 p.m. Monday, March 21, in Richard W. Miller Campus Center Room 218. All of the Leadership Lecture Series presentations are free and open to the public.
SUNY Canton has a well-established connection with Trimble and C&S Companies. The engineering, architecture, planning and construction service provider was responsible for consulting and other services for the college’s new footbridges, the renovation of the college’s four original residence halls, as well as the Roos House Convocation, Athletic and Recreation Center.
“In addition to being active advisors for several of our programs, C&S has hired many of our alumni,” said Michael J. Newtown, interim dean of the Canino School of Engineering Technology. “Mr. Trimble is sure to start a great conversation on how to start and advance a career in the engineering technology fields.”
Trimble began his career with C&S in 1990. He is responsible for overseeing all of the company’s design and construction projects and staff. He has also served as the company’s vice president, managed the industrial facilities design group, worked as a general manager for the construction management group, and was a design engineer in the transportation design group, among other positions.
He’s a professional engineer and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (commonly known as LEED) accredited professional.
