DzwonczykThe latest installment of SUNY Canton’s Leadership Lecture Series highlights an entrepreneur who transitioned from Silicon Valley to St. Lawrence County.

Mark Dzwonczyk, the President and CEO of Nicholville Telephone Company, will be speaking about his experiences at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, in Richard W. Miller Campus Center Room 212. The presentation is free and open to the public.

He expanded the company into a leading VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) product design business with operations in both the U.S. and China.

Dzwonczyk moved to the North County to join the Board of Nicholville Telephone Company in 2011, and became its CEO later that year. His leadership brought a cultural change to the business that enabled an increase in subscriptions and recognition as a leading regional broadband company.

Nicholville Telephone Company is the parent company of Slic Network Solutions. The company has been heralded for providing high-speed Internet access to rural communities where it previously was not available.

He has been described as a recognized expert in telecom networks and technology. He’s also a Clarkson University Trustee and wholly committed to regional economic development.
