Andrew M. Ranger (left) launches a remote control car outside of SUNY Canton’s Nevaldine Hall. Ranger and Lucas J. Stiles (right) built the car as part of a high school summer STEM program sponsored by grants from the New York State Education Department and the Department of Defense Activity. Ranger attends Immaculate Heart Central High School in Watertown and Stiles attends Carthage High School. The two joined 13 other students for the weeklong summer camp. The activities conclude tomorrow (Friday, July 21) with several races and challenges to test each team’s car.
