CANTON -SUNY Canton is seeking nominations for its annual College Council Distinguished Citizen Award, to be presented at its Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 16, 2008.
Since 1976, the College has given this prestigious award in recognition of exceptional, unusual, and distinguished service to SUNY Canton, to the community, to the state, or to the nation.
Members of the community are invited to submit written nominations for the award. All nominations must include the name; position/title; a description; a brief biography of the nominee; and at least three letters of support from non-family members. Nominations are due February 2, 2008, should be submitted to:

Recipients of this award have the honor of having their names displayed on a plaque in the Richard W. Miller Campus Center.
The SUNY Canton College Council will select the recipient at its March 27, 2008 meeting.

SUNY Canton offers a wide variety of career-driven bachelor’s, associate, and certificate programs, as well as three master’s degrees in conjunction with SUNYIT, Utica.
